Enter data into a computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).Maintain records on malfunctions, repairs, and maintenance.Coordinate the disassembly and repair of reducing valves.Install and replace instrument tubing, valves, wiring, and component parts in pneumatic equipment and electronic control systems.Report unusual or emergency situations to the appropriate operating engineer and supervisor and aid in its correction.Coordinate and participate in the cleaning, inspection, and routine maintenance of equipment and facilities including oiling, greasing, and the repacking of leaking packing glands.Inspect and adjust automatic or manual equipment control mechanisms.Observe equipment and system function from control room and other central control points including periodic rounds of inspection.Recommend the start up and shut down of plant equipment.Coordinate and participate in the inspection of equipment function and manipulation of controls.Monitor plant and distribution operations and react to instrument and control malfunctions.Work in conjuction with Power Plant Operators, Skilled Trades employees, Outside Contractors, Engineering groups, and members of supervision to maintain the Central Energy Plant in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.Set and tune the combustion control on boilers, drum level controls, steam temperature controls, turbine governor control, pH, and pressure control.Coordinate the work of I&C Repairpersons or other assigned personnel.Assemble and install meters, gauges, controllers, and other electronic or pneumatic instruments.Disassemble units and repair or replace components, pipes, instrument tubing, couplings and control devices, such as steam and water flow meters, combustion control receivers and recorders, damper controls, reducing valves, and electronic based systems.Inspect design, repair and configure microprocessor and/or central control computer system.Perform inspections, and evaluations on various instrumentation and telemetric systems oversee, review, and monitor the work of consultants and vendors design, fabricate, and install instrumentation and telemetric systems and components oversee preventative maintenance programs code compliance purchasing supplies and managing shop inventory and writing reports.Program and maintain distributed control system (DCS), including new implementations, system back-up, PLC/PCU programming, HMI graphics and programming, and DCS database management.Maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation, controls, PLC, electric, electronic, and telemetric components, systems, and equipment.Develop procedures for complex computer programs, plant systems, instrumentation, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair.Coordinate and direct equipment performance, testing, emission testing, and certification verification.Serving I&C evolutions lead for system outages, commissioning, and start up.The cover letter should address your specific interest in the position and outline skills and experience that directly relate to this position.
